What we do
Everything below is done on site, at your house, your office, or the shoulder of the road. No towing to a yard unless the job genuinely needs a lift.
- Engine diagnostics & fault codes OBD scan, live sensor readings, and a straight answer about what the light actually means. We read the codes, we don't guess at them.
- Battery testing & replacement Load test first, so you're not buying a battery you didn't need. Alternator and starter checked in the same visit.
- Brakes — pads, discs, fluid Front and rear. We'll show you the worn pad before it goes in the bin, and tell you honestly how much life is left.
- Air-conditioning service & regas Leak check, vacuum, recharge. In this heat a working air-con is not a luxury item — it's the difference between a good day and a bad one.
- Oil, filters & full service Engine oil, oil filter, air filter, plugs where they're due. Old oil goes back with us, not into the street.
- Suspension, shocks & bushings For the potholes on the Kombo Sillah stretch. Knocking, wandering steering, uneven tyre wear — we trace it before we replace anything.
- Cooling system & overheating Radiator, hoses, thermostat, water pump, pressure test. Overheating is the one fault that turns a cheap repair into an engine rebuild.
- Roadside callout & jump start Flat battery, flat tyre, no-start, keys locked in. Call, tell us where you are, and stay with the car.
- Pre-purchase inspection Buying a second-hand car? We go with you, put it on the scanner, check the body and the paperwork, and tell you what it will cost you in the first six months.
- Electrical faults & wiring Lights, windows, wipers, immobilisers, parasitic drains that flatten a battery overnight. Chasing wiring is slow work and we price it honestly.
Prices are starting points for labour on common models — Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes, Peugeot. Parts are quoted separately at cost plus a small margin, and you approve the number before we fit anything.

Instant GSM Solutions started the way most useful things in Serekunda start — someone asked for a favour. A neighbour's car wouldn't start, there was no way to get it to a garage before Monday, and the tools were already in the back of the van. That was the first callout. The phone hasn't really stopped since.
We work mobile on purpose. Most of what goes wrong with a car here is diagnosable and fixable where the car is standing — a dead battery, a bad coil, a leaking hose, a sensor that's drifted. Towing a perfectly good vehicle across town to a yard, then waiting three days for a slot, is a worse outcome for the customer and a worse use of everybody's afternoon. So the van carries the scanner, the jack, the compressor, the fluids and the common parts. When a job genuinely needs a lift or a machine shop, we say so on the spot and tell you where to take it.
What we won't do is invent work. If your brakes have another eight months in them, you'll hear that. If the noise is a loose heat shield and not a gearbox, you'll hear that too. A lot of our customers are the same people who called us two years ago, and that only works if the advice is straight.

Coming from Kairaba Avenue, turn in at the Atlas petrol station and go round the back — the Christ Church building is the one with the roller shutter. Coming from Serrekunda Market, it's the same turn from the other direction. If you can't find it, call and we'll talk you in.
